As an Assistant Store Director, you will partner with the Store Director to innovate on operational efficiencies and foster an environment that reflects Meijer’s values and service ethos. Collaborate with the Store Director in the planning and implementation of store strategies to increase store traffic and profitability Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and store presentation Manage store personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance management Oversee inventory management and ensure merchandise is stocked appropriately Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, and store policies and standards Analyze operational and financial data to influence merchandise and sales strategies Promote a safe and positive store environment, prioritizing customer and employee safety Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to manage budgets and financial performance Capability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations Proficiency in retail management software and systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Certifications in Retail Management, Leadership, or relevant fields advantageous.
