continues to thrive and grow we are now seeking an Corporate
Director of Supply Chain for all of Phillips Tube Group.
Under minimal supervision, the Corporate Director of Supply Chain
directs all material functions for the flow of materials, from
supplier through production to customer, ensuring maximum customer
service, minimum inventory investment, minimum transportation
costs, and efficient plant operations. In this role, the Corporate
Director of Supply Chain will direct and coordinate the
application, implementation, and activities of the Company's
MRP/ERP system to maximize its utilization across all functional
areas. The Corporate Director of Supply Chain develops strategies
to support the Business Units Business Plan objectives and targets.
Facilitation of all locations physical inventory and act as a
liaison with customers and suppliers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic leadership that drives sustainable process
improvements, with a focus on delivering automation capabilities,
expansion of distribution capabilities and services, and
operational efficiencies
- Lead the development and implementation of supply chain
strategy to support corporate goals including; Strategic Sourcing
and Procurement, Vendor Management, Materials Management, Logistics
and S&OP
- Development of short and long-range strategies for distribution
and inbound/outbound logistics to elevate customer experience and
service levels, support business growth, and drive
profitability
- Oversee the supply chain budget and operating performance,
along with key service, quality and cost metrics and focus on
continuous improvement programs
- Provide strategic cross-functional collaboration and optimize
all interdependencies with Sales, Customer Service, Marketing,
Operations, Quality, Safety, Procurement to ensure team alignment
and execute strategic planning initiatives
- Leads senior management routines to monitor core supply chain
performance, including delivering against product and service level
agreements and cost objectives
- Communicates and implements key performance indicators (KPIs)
and metrics to measure and evaluate the end-to-end strategic supply
chain operations. Identifies opportunities, models desired outcomes
and effectively manages performance of operational methods
- Provides leadership that delivers supply chain and operational
efficiencies, improved financial performance creating enterprise
value across the organization; lead, coach and develop a Supply
Chain team through clear goal setting, feedback and
coaching
- Innovator of positive change that favorably affects
profitability, inventory turns, OTD, and lead-times
- Directs, coordinates, and expedites flow of materials, parts,
and assemblies as it relates to production control, purchasing,
shipping, and receiving
- Monitors, maintains, and reduces inventory levels within our
ERP System and also onsite management through their teams to meet
needs of production and customers, by establishing reorder points
and safety stock for target level part. Supervises inventory counts
on regular basis (as required) and annual basis, reviews variances,
and monitors finished goods inventory levels to ensure on-time
compliance to customer release requirements while minimizing
carrying and premium freight costs
- Analyze order intake and production patterns in order to adjust
reorder points based on real time needs
- Manage and ensure compliance to inventory accuracy and
departmental/plant cost control
- Ensure proper parameters for correct inventory levels and
perform active inventory management once the parameters are set
Position Qualifications:
Essential:
- Ten (10) or more years experience in Supply Chain and Logistics
in the Steel / Metalworking Industries Required
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or
related field required
- Certification in Operations Management, Inventory Management or
Continuous Improvement (CI) highly desirable
- Have a proven track record of developing end to end strategies
to improve supply chain efficiencies and effectiveness
- Experience driving continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
across the supply chain function
- Have extensive experience in ERP systems, logistics, S&OP,
supply/demand planning, purchasing and customer service
functions
- Have superior time management and organizational
skills
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize and organize tasks and
projects
- Have strong analytical and decision-making skills with the
ability to effectively identify, analyze, and recommend solutions
to complex problems
- Knowledge and ability to apply lean techniques to eliminate
waste and improve processes within material flow systems
- Experience in innovating and implementing change
- Experience in and strong desire for continuous
improvement
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Teams
- Understanding Level scheduling principles a plus
- Must be able to successfully work across functions in the
organization
Preferred:
- Experience utilizing Plex ERP Systems
- MBA
- APICS CPIM or CSCP (or equivalent) Certification a plus
