Job Summary: The Electro-Mechanical Technician's role is to provide technical support in the building, installation, and service of the customer equipment. The technician may also be responsible for the assembly, fabrication, installation, and service of the equipment.

Reports To: Administratively reports to the General Manager, with technical support being provided by the Lead Technician, as well as Shop Manager.

Principal Job Duties/Functions:

• Electrical/Mechanical Fabrication, Equipment Installation, Service, and Maintenance.
  • Installation and wiring of electrical control components and field devices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and repair equipment mechanically and electrically.
  • Read blueprints, drawings/schematics.
  • Assist in installation of pneumatic air piping systems, aluminum piping, and duct work.
  • Install air compressors and associated equipment.
  • Install condensate tubing systems.
  • Mount dampers, duct work and compressor accessories.
  • Cut and install prefabricated wall panels and roof panels for mobile modules, per drawings.
  • Service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, related rotating equipment, refrigerated and desiccant air dryers, compressed air filtration systems, and process gas piping installation.
  • Provide detailed failure analysis as well as equipment/system recommendations to improve reliability and/or performance.
  • Excellent technical and mechanical skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends, daily overtime, and holidays, as needed.

            Specific Skills: Trade school or related job experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Multi-craft and/or electro-mechanical experience desirable. Refrigeration experience highly desired.
            
            Education: High school degree required and completed course work towards a business or technical related degree preferred.
            
            Travel Required: Some work is performed on site at customer or vendor facilities. Locations will vary based on customer requirements and location but will involve some overnight travel. Valid Driver's License
            
            Job Location: Covington, Ky and Middletown, Ohio, as well as other customer sites.
            
            Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is required to be coordinated and dexterous with their hands to crimp electrical connectors, wire machinery, and pull cables. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical equipment, electrical hazards, heavy industrial and construction sites (requiring safety hats, steel toe shoes, other safety equipment, etc.) and less than ideal lighting conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, confined spaces, and other potentially dangerous conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
