Senior Applications Developer

Job Description:


GENERAL FUNCTION:


 


 


As part of the applications development discipline, develops cost-effective solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications for critical real-time bank systems. Coordinates with users, business analysts and other developers to determine requirements and effective solutions. Works with vendors to install, enhance, and maintain both COTS and in-house developed systems. For both, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software applications. May coordinate activities of the project team and assist in monitoring project schedules and costs. Functions as technical lead and acts as liaison between business units. Provides training and direction to team members. Will be involved in 7-by-24 production support rotation.


 


 


 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


 


·         Analyzes, codes, tests and documents complex enhancements made to new and/or existing systems, both in-house and COTS.


 


·         Participates in production support: troubleshooting and issue resolution.


 


·         Demonstrates proven knowledge in one or more applications or systems.


 


·         Designs, codes, tests and implements application programs in accordance with requirements and standards.


 


·         Able to produce accurate, readable documentation related to software systems.


 


·         Able to identify efficient and practical solutions to meet business objectives.
