For more information on the array of benefits programs, please visit DutiesONLY ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.Position SummaryPhotogrammetric Imagery Scientists extract monoscopic, stereoscopic, and multiscopic mensuration of objects and geographic features utilizing all imaging systems (i.e., satellite, airborne, ground). They create mensuration reports and mensuration-derived computer-aided design products. They collaborate with analysts to understand intelligence issues and provide scientific results to conduct intelligence production. They develop special collection strategies, assess and validate tools and products, and create customized methodologies and products to address a variety of intelligence problems. They provide technical guidance to enhance photogrammetric imaging capability, applicability, and collection.Additional Position InfoThe Technical Analysis Branch within the NGA Support Team (NST) at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio has worldwide responsibility for scientific and technical (S&T) exploitation, photogrammetric analysis, and complex mensuration assessments of foreign aerospace weapon systems.The Photogrammetric Imagery Scientist provides timely, relevant, and accurate monoscopic, stereoscopic, and multi-scopic mensuration of objects and geographic features utilizing all imaging systems. They provide deep subject matter expertise in the application of advanced photogrammetric and perspective principles to determine dimensional and spatial characteristics of weapon systems, support equipment, and associated facilities; constructs high fidelity 3D CAD models, 2D technical drawings, and specialized CAD-associated applications to support third phase analysis in support of integrated, predictive intelligence for the air, space, and cyber domains. This includes developing special collection strategies, performs verification and validation of photogrammetry tools and products, and creation of customized imagery science methodologies and products to address a variety of intelligence problems.Mandatory Qualification ReqsFor this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Demonstrated imagery analysis experience, and intelligence reporting. 2. Demonstrated expertise with photogrammetric analysis principals. 3. Demonstrated ability to apply and understand various sources of imagery and/or geospatial information.EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Imagery Science, Mathematics, Physical Science, or a related discipline. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of college work is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with or without corrective lenses; Stereopsis ability; Far visual acuity of 20/60 or better binocular with or without corrective lenses.Highly Desired SkillsIn addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Possess experience with all or some of the following software; RemoteView, SocetGXP, Compass, MSP, and/or computer-aided design software. 2. Experience with National, Civil, and/or Commercial imaging systems, image processing, image exploitation, digital signal processing, and open source information.3. An employee's annual performance evaluation is a key factor in the performance pay process.
