Hi-Tek Manufacturing is searching for experienced 2nd shift Turn / Lathe CNC Operators who wish to develop his or her career in advanced manufacturing technology by executing a higher level of workmanship. Hi-Tek is a Drug-Free Workplace and conducts pre-employment drug and background screening and random drug screening. Essential Duties and Tasks:

• Operate regular (horizontal) or VTL (vertical) lathe machines
• Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE
• Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications
• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary.
• Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes
• Maintain working knowledge of rotary/linear axes
• Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, tooling, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
• Analyze, interpret CMM reports, and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications
• Perform Deburr operations to within specified tolerances
• Operate overhead crane when necessary
• Report proper labor hours in the ERP system
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties
• Capable of running multiple machines, when assigned
• Demonstrates the ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally

• Good and reliable attendance and a positive attitude are a must Physical Conditions:
  • Lift, push and/or pull 35 pounds regularly
  • Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift
  • Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping in order to move and set tools, equipment and material.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (corrected) required with ability to pass annual vision test as required
  • Perform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation Qualifications, Education and Experience:
    • Lathe, Shaft, or Turning experience required - Min 1 yr.
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Ability to perform basic math functions including basic trigonometry
    • Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
