Hi-Tek Manufacturing is searching for experienced 2nd shift Turn / Lathe CNC Operators who wish to develop his or her career in advanced manufacturing technology by executing a higher level of workmanship. Hi-Tek is a Drug-Free Workplace and conducts pre-employment drug and background screening and random drug screening. Essential Duties and Tasks:Operate regular (horizontal) or VTL (vertical) lathe machinesFollow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPEAnalyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specificationsVerifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary.Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codesMaintain working knowledge of rotary/linear axesSelects, aligns, and secures fixtures, tooling, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.Analyze, interpret CMM reports, and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specificationsPerform Deburr operations to within specified tolerancesOperate overhead crane when necessary Report proper labor hours in the ERP systemMaintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping dutiesCapable of running multiple machines, when assigned Demonstrates the ability to lift 25 pounds occasionallyAny other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization's valuesAccomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.Always take ownership and be accountable for your actions.Good and reliable attendance and a positive attitude are a must Physical Conditions: Lift, push and/or pull 35 pounds regularly Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shiftRoutinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping in order to move and set tools, equipment and material.
