Our manufacturing company has operated for over 100 years and is in need of a screw machine operator. Specifically with Davenport and /or Acme-Gridley experience. Good mechanical aptitude is a must, along with the ability to read blueprints, use micrometers, and calipers. 1st shift (6am - 2:30pm M-F) Overtime hours are available Compensation: $15-20/hr depending on experience level General job duties are listed below: - Operates one or more previously set up multiple spindle screw machines to perform a series of machining operations on bar stock. - Reads Blueprints and job orders for information on dimensions, tolerances, and number of pieces to be machined. - Adjusts machine controls and changes tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances. - Replace or adjust tools needed to complete job. - Documentation of job and quality checks completed regularly.
