Associate Director, Data Analyst to support and advance
investigations into frauds, knockoff medicines, and other civil and
criminal violations as part of Lilly Legal’s Special Investigations
Unit (SIU). This position will report to the Associate Vice
President, Assistant General Counsel – Special Investigations. The
role will be an integral part of Lilly’s efforts to combat
financial and healthcare fraud, the illicit distribution of
counterfeit and substandard drugs, theft and diversion of Lilly
products, and related civil and criminal violations. In this role,
you will collect, clean, analyze, interpret, and validate large and
diverse datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and evidence in
support of investigations and litigation. Additionally, this role
will support internal partners, regulators, and law enforcement.
The successful candidate will bring a strong background in data
analysis, accounting, and forensics, as well as experience working
in a legal, compliance, or investigative environment. Key
Responsibilities May Include: Pull, clean, normalize, and analyze
large and complex datasets from internal Lilly systems (such as
transactional, claims, distribution, and pricing data) and external
sources in support of investigations. Work collaboratively with
lawyers, investigators, forensic laboratory analysts, and
intelligence professionals to initiate, advance, and conclude
investigations. Identify data anomalies, irregular patterns, and
statistically significant trends that may indicate fraud,
diversion, counterfeiting, or other legal violations. Validate data
to evidentiary standards, for use in litigation or referrals to law
enforcement, and appropriately qualify uncertainty in analysis.
Develop and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and automated
monitoring tools to proactively surface high-value investigative
leads. Prepare clear, well-documented analytical reports,
visualizations, and data summaries that support investigative
strategy and enforcement actions. Work with Legal and compliance
partners to advise on data-driven risk mitigation, controls
improvements, and fraud prevention measures. Consolidate and
integrate data across Lilly systems and help manage access and data
governance in support of SIU operations. Perform detailed
documentation of analytical methods and findings within the SIU’s
internal case management system. Partner with outside counsel,
experts such as forensic accountants, and law enforcement on
investigations and any resulting civil or criminal actions.
Throughout all assignments and investigations, maintain company
confidential information, use discretion in conducting sensitive
investigations, comply with all national and local laws, and
preserve all applicable privileges. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics,
computer science, economics, accounting, or a related quantitative
field. Minimum of five years’ experience in data analysis, data
science, or quantitative analytics, preferably in a healthcare,
financial crimes, legal, compliance, or investigative context. Five
years' hands-on experience pulling, cleaning, and analysing large
and complex datasets using tools such as SQL, Python, or R, with a
proven ability to identify anomalies, patterns, and statistically
significant trends across transactional, claims, or other
high-volume data environments. Qualified applicants must be
authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly

Skills/Preferences: Experience working with data visualization
tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent). Experience handling
sensitive, confidential, or legally privileged data with
appropriate discretion and security. Experience with healthcare
claims data, pharmacy benefit data, and pharmaceutical supply chain
data. Familiarity with fraud schemes in healthcare, such as co-pay
assistance abuse, improper claims, and international and domestic
diversion. Experience building and maintaining automated monitoring
tools or alert systems for proactive fraud or anomaly detection.
Familiarity with OSINT data sources and techniques applicable to
investigative analytics. Experience working with forensic
accountants, investigators, or outside counsel on
investigation-related data production (e.g., discovery, regulatory
inquiries). Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written
communication skills and the ability to perform duties
independently with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal
skills and ability to interact with people of varied backgrounds,
cultures, and nationalities. Advanced degree (Master’s or
equivalent) in a quantitative discipline. Additional Information:
At times the candidate will be expected to work outside the normal
daytime work hours. Occasional domestic travel may be required.

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $127,500 -
$204,600 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
