Job Description:
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are at the forefront of cloud
computing technology and operations. As a Controls Manager in our
Engineering & Maintenance department, you will be pivotal in
managing and improving the controls and automation systems that
underpin our vast IT infrastructure. This role requires a unique
blend of technical expertise and project management skills to
ensure operational excellence and efficiency across various
automated systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams
to design, enhance, and maintain our controls architecture,
ensuring alignment with Amazon's high standards of scalability and
reliability. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of
control systems across AWS data centers. Collaborate with
engineering teams to ensure integration and deployment of robust
control systems. Manage projects from design to execution, meeting
timelines and adhering to budgets. Analyze system data to lead
continuous improvements and optimizations. Ensure compliance with
industry standards and safety regulations. Provide leadership and
technical guidance to controls engineering staff. Develop and
implement training programs for new systems and technologies.
Expertise in control system architecture, including PLC and HMI.
Strong project management skills. Proficiency in programming
languages associated with automation, such as Python or JavaScript.
Ability to analyze complex system data. Excellent communication and
