Honeywell Intelligrated is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our growing team based out of the West Chester, OH office.-- You will be passionate about automated control systems.-- You will be a self-motivated professional and strive to be at the leading edge of control system technology.-- You will work with experienced software engineers to learn, understand, and implement complex automated control systems. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Implementation of software projects for an integrated system or subsystem (WCS (Warehouse Control System), Voice Picking Systems, and conveyor control systems) and provides input to and contributes to the planning, reporting and management of the project in addition to technical implementation.
  • Demonstrates and recognizes project success from multiple levels of financial, technical and timeline management responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with little or no supervision and must be able to handle high risk projects.
  • Owner of the software content of a project or program of projects and responsible for maintaining program consistency between projects, documentation, and support.
  • Responsible for the development, documentation, and maintenance of machine control interface standards across multiple platforms.
  • Provides support and consulting for Concepting & Estimating, Software Engineering, Project Management, Systems Engineering, Installation, Product Development, CSS, and Sales & Marketing.
  • Manages program requirements and associated documentation and maintains all technical program communications with customers and drives product and project execution improvements and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Train new hires on the base code development and company specific standard equipment handling and troubleshooting.
  • Handle large-scale critical projects such as Amazon fulfillment centers and other diverse order processing centers.

    --YOU MUST HAVE:

    • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field.
    • Full term of experience must include: experience in software programming using C, C++, and Java.
    • Working knowledge of SST Profibus Configuration Tool, TwinCAT Configuration Tool, Bitbucket/SVN, QNX operating system and SQL.
    • Experience in automation programming; troubleshooting the conveyor control systems and debugging code.
    • Evaluating electrical prints, defining control device requirements, and IDEs including Visual Studio, IntelliJ.
    • Approximately 40% domestic/international travel required.
    • Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week.
