Operate a Class A truck following all safety regulations and maintaining a clean driving record. Ensure timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery. Loading, unloading, or assisting in loading and unloading truck. Maintain communication with dispatch to receive instructions and provide updates. Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip and report any issues or accidents to dispatch. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules as determined by dispatch and customer contracts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures. Strong time management and customer service skills. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.). Must pass a background check and drug test.
