Columbus, OH (ZIP 43210) offers a vibrant community and excellent quality of life while you advance your nursing career. /n/nQuick Job Details/n /n - Job Title: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse / PCU RN / Travel RN/n - Location: Columbus, Ohio – ZIP 43210 (Columbus, OH travel nursing job)/n - Setting: Acute Leukemia & Hematology Unit (Progressive Care Unit)/n - Assignment Type: Travel assignment (travel nursing)/n - Start Date: April 6, 2026/n - End Date: July 27, 2026/n - Duration: 16 weeks/n - Shifts: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940–$2040 per week (based on experience and qualifications)/n - Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics, primarily newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients/n - Staffing Ratios: Goal 1:4 (may be up to 1:5)/n - Charting / EMR: EPIC/n - Orientation: Comprehensive orientation provided (first week dayshift, second week on-unit with preceptor)/n /n/nMinimum Requirements / Qualifications/n /n - Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience, with at least 1 year of current specialty experience in Progressive Care/Telemetry or similar/n - Active RN license: compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission (Ohio nursing license preferred)/n - Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program/n - BLS and ACLS required/n - NIHSS certification preferred/n - Clinical skills: telemetry experience, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, blood product administration, central/PICC line management/n - Travel nursing experience required (previous Travel RN assignments preferred)/n - Oncology or hematology experience preferred but not required/n - Ability to float to other MedSurg Oncology/Med-Surg units as needed/n - Two professional references required (one from a manager/director or formal leader)/n /n/nKey Responsibilities/n /n - Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adults and geriatric patients with acute leukemia and hematology diagnoses/n - Monitor and interpret telemetry; assess and manage cardiac dysrhythmias (Telemetry RN responsibilities)/n - Administer IV therapies, manage central and peripheral lines, and safely administer blood products/n - Implement infection prevention and patient fall prevention protocols/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social work, and physician teams/n - Participate in rapid response teams and escalate care appropriately/n - Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient progress using EPIC electronic medical records/n - Participate in self-scheduling, including variable weekend shifts based on unit needs/n - Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as required to support patient care/n /n/n Advance your career as a PCU Registered Nurse in a supportive, innovative hospital environment in Columbus, Ohio.
