Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Columbus, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,269 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 5/4/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: Basic Life Support Must-Have: Experience in telemetry monitoring and interpretation Previous travel experience preferred Description: The position involves caring for patients diagnosed with various solid tumor cancers. You will engage with patients throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis to treatment and end-of-life care. A heavy focus will be placed on infection prevention protocols and patient falls. The goal for staffing ratios is 1:4 but can be adjusted to 1:5 as needed. Weekends will be variable based on unit needs. Self-scheduling requests are encouraged, and preference will be noted before the final schedule is posted. The first week of orientation will be during daytime hours, followed by on-unit training with a preceptor during the second week. You will be responsible for accessing and managing ports, administering chemotherapy, and providing tracheostomy care. Additional skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, and starting and maintaining IVs. Experiences with computerized charting systems are necessary. Interdisciplinary support will be available from various services, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Candidates must meet experience requirements within the last 3 years. It is vital to complete all credentialing requirements in a timely manner. References from direct supervisors or managers are required, with no coworker references accepted. Education must be from an accredited nursing program.
