Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring an OH or compact RN license and strong telemetry skills. Responsibilities - Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting - Patient ratio is approximately 1 nurse to 5 patients - 3x12 hour night shifts, including weekdays, occasional weekends, and rotating holidays - Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity - Care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring and IV starts - Epic EMR system is used for documentation - Responsibilities include providing care in the PCU, performing IV starts, and telemetry monitoring - Familiarity with the Epic EMR system is utilized for documentation - Opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment - Orientation and training will be provided as needed - Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after contract signing - Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 6 months to be eligible - Current employees of Ohio State University hospitals are not eligible for travel assignments - Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers - All time off requests must be submitted and approved at the time of contract Requirements - Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration - Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience required - Minimum 4 years of MS/TELE experience required for consideration - ACLS and BCLS certifications required - Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required - Previous travel nursing experience preferred - Two professional references required, at least one from a manager, director, or charge RN Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-665485.
