Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job ID: T4H - 914 Facility: The Christ Hospital Location: 2139 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45219 Start Date: 07/28/2025 Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days – 5x8s (Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Position Type: Contract Job Type: Vascular Only License to Submit: Yes Job Title: Heart & Vascular Sonographer Also Known As: Cardiovascular Sonographer, Echo/Vascular Technologist, Echo/Vascular Sonographer Job Description: The Heart and Vascular Sonographer will perform non-invasive ultrasound procedures in vascular and/or echocardiography. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, supporting diagnostic needs, and maintaining strong relationships with patients and staff in an acute care environment. Extensive training on protocols and use of advanced imaging equipment will be provided. Responsibilities: - Perform non-invasive vascular and/or echocardiographic studies - Obtain and document accurate patient history and clinical data - Operate ultrasound equipment following standardized protocols - Ensure image quality and accuracy of diagnostic information - Explain procedures clearly to patients and families - Communicate with care teams for smooth workflow and timely exams - Maintain cleanliness and supply levels in assigned work area - Report equipment issues and participate in quality control procedures - Stay current with department protocols and continuing education - Attend department meetings and participate in peer review activities Required Certifications & Licensure: - BLS (AHA) - One or more of the following: - ARDMS: RDCS (Cardiac) or RVT (Vascular) - CCI: RCS (Cardiac) or RVS (Vascular) Required Skills & Experience: - Minimum 2 years of vascular and/or echo experience - Proficient in diagnostic imaging for vascular ultrasound - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Working knowledge of DICOM standards and image documentation - Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment Education Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited ultrasound training program - Maintain CEU requirements per ARDMS, CCI, ICAVL, or ICAE standards Additional Information: - Facility uses CPSI/Evident EMR - Position may include RV PAD screening rotation (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) - No call or holiday coverage required About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
