qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Carmel, Indiana, 46032! Pay
Information $2,355 per week About The Position Job Title: Labor and
Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty:
Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift:
12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1.5 Years Required License: Must Have
Valid State License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN
Intermediate (Advanced Preferred) Must-Have: - Must work 2 out of 3
major holidays. - Floating is 100% required within hospital or to
nearby affiliates. Description: Position available for a Labor and
Delivery Registered Nurse. Candidate must have a minimum of 1.5
years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted for this
position. Call requirements are included, with a commitment of 24
hours per 6 weeks. Weekend requirements consist of working every
third weekend. The unit is a fast-paced, level 3 labor and delivery
unit. Responsibilities include caring for antenatal, laboring, and
bereavement mothers. Nurses will be responsible for vaginal
deliveries, c-section deliveries, and surgical procedures related
to labor and delivery. Candidates should be comfortable floating to
other facilities as this is a requirement. Additional
responsibilities include care during scheduled inductions,
c-sections, D&C procedures, and providing bereavement support.
The unit includes a level 3 NICU in-house. If the postpartum floor
is full, candidates may hold postpartum patients in the labor unit
temporarily. There is 24/7 anesthesia and obstetric laborist
coverage available. The staffing ratios follow AWHONN staffing
guidelines. Candidates with pending licenses will not be accepted;
