The Middletown Engine Center is looking for a high energy, dynamic
leader for a (Commercial) Deputy Product Line Manager (DPLM) role
supportive of the (Commercial) Product Line Manager (PLM) .
Summary:
The Deputy Product Line Manager (DPLM) is responsible for assisting
the Product Line Manager (PLM) in driving and meeting all key
metrics related to EH&S, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.
The Deputy-PLM is accountable for the creation and execution of
standard work, leading continuous improvement activities across the
line. Excellent organization, prioritization, and interpersonal
skills are essential. The individual must embrace ACE, which is our
Operating System and lean manufacturing vision and thrive in a team
environment with high-performance expectations.
Responsibilities:
The competencies critical for success in this role are:
Adaptability, Strategic Thinking, and Communication
Responsibilities include:
* Provide leadership and direction to the operations team setting
both near term, and long term operational objectives focusing on
the tactical, but supporting the PLM in more strategic planning
* Collaborate with support teams (quality, materials, process
planning) to ensure that customer requirements are met
* Work proactively to address issues and engage the workforce in
achieving product line goals
* Effectively communicate cross functional requirements to ensure
smooth process line
* Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to
all EH&S requirements promptly
* Ensure full involvement in ACE continuous improvement
initiatives
* Utilize ACE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce
scrap, rework, and repair
* Drive quality (effective RRCA), productivity and process flow to
meet MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer
satisfaction Experience
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree Minimum 4+ years' experience and/or education
in world class (Lean) Manufacturing Strategies and Techniques
Working knowledge
* Ability in MS Office applications Demonstrated leadership,
business judgment, innovation, analytical ability, and teaming
skills are required
* Must have strong communication skills
* Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the
execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work
area.
