industry, join our team! As a Safety Specialist III, you will be a
senior member of the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) team,
responsible for driving continuous improvement in safety
performance. You will lead complex safety initiatives, mentor
junior team members, and serve as a subject matter expert on HSE
matters. Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of
advanced HSE programs and initiatives. Conduct high-level safety
risk assessments and provide expert recommendations. Mentor and
provide guidance to junior safety specialists. Oversee the
investigation of serious accidents and incidents, and develop
comprehensive corrective actions. Analyze HSE data to identify
trends, root causes, and areas for improvement. Develop and
maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry
organizations. Coordinate company-wide emergency preparedness and
response activities. Ensure the organization remains compliant with
all relevant HSE regulations and standards. Qualifications You Must
Have: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 4 years of experience
in a related field. Relevant experience can be considered as a
substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the
absence of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is
required. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for
experience. Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local HSE
regulations. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Proven ability
to manage complex HSE projects. Knowledgeable with a variety of
occupational health & safety standards, EPA, OSHA, and NFPA
regulations. Demonstrated ability to conduct a job hazard analysis,
site audits, and incident root cause analysis. Fluency with data
capture, data analytics, spreadsheets, and presentation. The
ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is
required Qualifications We Prefer: Certified Safety Professional
(CSP) or similar certification. Master's degree in Occupational
Health and Safety or related field. Experience with DCMA INST 8210.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry. Certifications,
including Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Occupational
Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST). Essential Functions: Ability
to conduct safety inspections and audits, which may involve
walking, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Must be able
to lift up to 25 lbs regularly. Ability to work in various
environments, including office, manufacturing, and outdoor
settings. Must be able to work in a team and effectively
communicate with all levels of the organization. Ability to travel
as required. Proficiency in using computers and software
applications related to HSE. This posting will be open for
