technology and imagination! As an Electrical Engineer II, you will
play a key role in the design, development, and testing of
electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense
applications. You will be responsible for understanding complex
circuits, overseeing testing, and ensuring the successful
integration of electrical/electronic systems. This job will be
concentrating on High Altitude Electromagnetic effects (HEMP)
testing/analysis at a system and aircraft level. Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical/electronic systems. In some
applications, develop circuit card assemblies. Implement electrical
wiring design practices. Conduct testing and validation of
electronic systems and components. Perform troubleshooting and
debugging of electronic circuits. Develop and document technical
designs, test plans, and results. Collaborate with cross-functional
teams to ensure product requirements are met. Participate in design
reviews and provide technical insights. Mentor junior engineers and
provide technical guidance. Assist with MIL-STD-461 Testing Become
a Point of Contact for HEMP Lead design efforts for mitigating HEMP
effects Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in
Electrical Engineering or related field. 2 years of experience in
electrical engineering or a related role. Higher level relevant
degree may substitute for experience. Proficiency in
electrical/electronic circuit design and testing techniques.
Knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Experience with
Computer Aided Engineering tools. Familiarity with working in
multi-disciplinary design and development teams. Knowledgeable in
MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464 Ability to operate standard EMI
equipment (oscilloscope, network analyzer, signal generator, etc)
Knowledgeable of the interactions of electromagnetic fields and
waves with materials, re. shielding, induction, etc Proficient in
computational tools such as Feko, CST, CEM Modeling, or FDTD.
Qualifications We Prefer: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
or related field. Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
software for electrical applications. Understanding of aerospace
and defense industry standards. Exposure to simulations through
functional and logical models and system analysis. Exposure to FAA
electrical system regulations, including Electrical Wiring
Interconnection System (EWIS) requirements. Exposure to
electrical/electronic Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and
System Safety Assessment (SSA) concepts. Understanding of an
Electrical Load Analysis (ELA). Experience with circuit modeling,
simulation, and analysis. Knowledge of electrical component
selection and manufacturing. Understanding Electromagnetic Effects
(EME) to include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). Experience in digital or analog
circuit design and schematic capture. Understanding of the printed
circuit board layout process and tools. Ability to design against
Electromagnetic Pulse Knowledgeable in MIL-STD-3023 and
MIL-STD-2169 Experience conducting/coordinating aircraft level
testing Familiar with FAA Part 25 Self-starter who is not afraid to
ask questions or dig into the details Essential Functions: Ability
to work on a computer for extended periods. Ability to travel as
required. Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting
electrical/electronic systems and components. Ability to analyze
complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data
to identify problems and improve designs. Applying systematic and
logical problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve
electrical/electronic issues. Clearly convey technical information,
design specifications, and project updates to team members,
stakeholders, and management. Ability to understand technical
documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic
instrument measurements. Ability to handle small components, tools,
and equipment with precision. This posting will be open for
