Job Description:
As part of the dynamic team at Amazon Web Services (AWS), the
Construction Manager for SBN Data Center Construction plays a
pivotal role in the development and expansion of our cutting-edge
data centers. AWS is renowned for its innovative approach to cloud
computing, providing scalable and efficient solutions across the
globe. In this critical role, the Construction Manager will oversee
all phases of construction from initial planning to completion,
ensuring that projects meet the high standards of quality, safety,
and efficiency synonymous with Amazon's operational excellence.
This position involves close collaboration with design engineers,
contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver state-of-the-art
facilities that support AWS's service infrastructure. Manage the
end-to-end construction process of data center projects from design
through completion. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and
contractors to ensure that all technical specifications and
regulations are met. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and
resource allocations to ensure projects are delivered on time and
within cost. Implement rigorous safety and quality standards on all
construction sites. Regularly report project status to senior
management and other relevant stakeholders. Resolve any issues that
arise during construction swiftly and effectively. Ensure
compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and AWS's
internal policies. Strong understanding of construction management
processes. Experience with project management software (e.g.,
Procore, AutoCAD). Excellent leadership and personnel management
skills. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering
drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make
decisions under pressure. In-depth knowledge of building codes and
