What Financial Planning & Analysis contributes to Cardinal
Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies
of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls,
prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial
systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
Financial Planning & Analysis provides strategic partnership and
objective guidance to business units. It leads cross functional
efforts to enable forward looking, actionable insights with a focus
on driving strategic value that influences key business
decisions.
Job SummaryThe Advisor, Strategic Finance role will partner with
USMPD executive and business unit leadership to support strategic
initiatives and answer questions through financial modeling. They
will leverage technical and non-technical solutions to develop and
maintain financial models that address existing business questions,
such as cost-to-serve and price volume mix. The Advisor will
collaborate cross-functionally on complex projects to deliver on
defined initiatives.Responsibilities
- Serve as one of the main points of contact for profitability
reporting, ensuring accurate and consistent financial insights
- Break down information silos between teams to promote data
integration and improve profitability analysis
- Manage demands from multiple stakeholders while maintaining a
single source of truth for profitability reporting
- Collaborate with segment-wide finance and operations teams to
maintain stability and accuracy in cost-to-serve analysis
- Develop and refine profitability models for specific business
segments
- Develop and maintain governance documentation to support
sustainability in reporting
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and deliver ad
hoc financial reporting and insightsQualifications
- 4-8 years of experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent work
experience preferred
- Technical skills (Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, Excel reporting,
Excel modelling, etc.) preferred
- Financial acumen (P&L, Balance Sheet), business acumen,
cross-functional business partnering and problem solving
